Safety-critical sign-off and airworthiness traceability leave no room for a review step that cannot be reconstructed later. This page sets out how such a workflow would be planned and run on inTheEU Assist, not a record of a completed deployment.

How the workflow would be structured

A document or process review would be planned as an ordered sequence of stages, each with a defined scope: analysis, drafting, sign-off. The full sequence would be hashed before execution, so the plan a reviewing engineer approves is bound, cryptographically, to what the system actually carries out. There is no room for the executed sequence to drift from the one that was reviewed.

A stage flagged as requiring sign-off would not proceed to the next stage until an explicit, signed approval from the responsible engineer or quality reviewer is recorded against it.

Where human approval sits

Every sign-off point in the sequence would be gated behind an explicit human approval, not a general permission for the workflow to run. The record of that approval, who signed, at what stage, against what version of the document, would be independently verifiable by an auditor holding only the relevant public key, without needing access to the vendor's systems.

What this draws on today, and what it does not

The stage-gated approval structure, the plan-level hashing that binds an approved sequence to its execution, and the offline-verifiable signed audit trail are working parts of the platform. What is not part of this: any pre-built airworthiness assessment or safety-analysis model. Engineering and quality teams remain the authority on what a sign-off means; the platform makes that sign-off provable, on premises, for as long as the record is needed.
